Squirt & Skootch is excited to be participating in the seasonal pop-up extravaganza known as the Republic of Artists. The Republic of Artists features one large space with more than a dozen artist/creator micro-shops within. It's a cool venue and format and you'll find gifts for yourself and for others. Check it out!

Kendall Embrescia, the Chief Creative Officer and Head Skootch in Charge, recently gave a presentation to the students in the Baldwin Wallace College Arts Management Association & students. Her talk covered the finer points of being an artist entrepreneur, and building a successful business around your passion. Stellar work, K-Dawg! 
January 13-15, 2012 was the United States debut of Sexapalooza, and
what better city to host it than Columbus, Ohio! Squirt & Skootch was thrilled to be invited to participate by our friends at The Garden and The Chamber. It turned out to be one of the more fun, interesting, eye-opening weekends in recent memory. was unlike any show, festival or convention that we've ever participated in before. Props to Tom and his crew! Thanks for having us.

Opening Day was Black Friday (hours 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.) with an "Official" after-party at the spectacular Market Garden Brewery.
"Made in the 216" Holiday Shoppe 2011: This 5 week long Shop within a Shop featured 60+ Cleveland-
 based designer's goods was once again held at Room Service (in Ohio City). This is a super-fun shopping experience which features goodies from some of Cleveland's finest artists and producers.
Friday, November 18 & Saturday, November 19 (At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland)
ArtScape is the annual jewelry, fine arts and craft sale at MOCA Cleveland. More than 50 local and national artists participate in this event, described by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as "the cure for the common retail experience".

Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 (At Freedom Design Kitchen & Bath)
Art from the Heart is the annual fund-raiser for Rescue Village (Geauga Humane Society). Since 1974, Rescue Village has been recognized as the leading animal welfare organization in Northeast Ohio. They are well-respected for their policy to never euthanize an animal due to age, special needs or lack of space. The show features hand-crafted holiday gifts for holiday giving.

7.8.11 - 7.10.11 Summer 2011 "Made in the 216" Shoppe
The Summer 2011 "Made in the 216" was held to coincide with the Grand Opening of Dredger's Union (downtown Cleveland's 1st new street level retail in years). This "Made in the 216" event was held on the vast lower level of the new store.

Squirt & Skootch was proud to represent at the annual Prosperity Holiday Party, annually hosted by one of the coolest, most-talented artistic duos in Cleveland.
11.21.10 MOCA Holiday Party
Squirt & Skootch was thrilled to be a part of the MOCA Holiday Party, Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland. Stellar times, peeps. If you're in NEO, get this annual event on your calendar. A Chris Farley-sized portion of the proceeds benefit MOCA Cleveland.
11.6.10 - 11.29.10 "Made in the 216" Holiday Shoppe
This pop-up holiday shoppe features the work of 50 Cleveland-based artists, producers and designers. Squirt & Skootch is becoming a regular participant in this annual fun-stival.
6.17.10 Coventry Street Fair
The Head Skootch celebrated her birthday at the always exciting Coventry Street Fair. Some of our favorite people came out to play in the streets this day. If you're in NEO, go to Coventry. If you're in Coventry, go to Big Fun Toys. One of the most spectacularly fun stores on Planet Earth, owned and operated by Mr. Fun himself, Steve Presser. Ch-Ch-Check it out!!

6.11.10 "Made in the 216"
Squirt & Skootch gladly accepted the invitation to participate in "Made in the 216" (then hosted at a space in the Gordon Square District, Cleveland, Ohio). This invitation-only showing of Cleveland local producers and "art-repreneurs" continues to grow in size and reputation. 

August, 2009 Tremont ArtsFest
Where the idea was first tested...Squirt & Skootch cut and folded all the cards by hand. Their exhibit in the "Emerging Artists" area of the highly-respected Tremont ArtsFest (Tremont neighborhood, Cleveland) drew lots of attention, and interest in the cards. The experience at the Tremont ArtsFest provided motivation for later forming the company.
